Weekly Recipe: Taco Soup

Here is this week's Weekly Recipe:
Taco Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 - 15 oz. can chili beans
  • 1 - 15 oz. can chili, no beans
  • 1 - 29 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 lb. Velveeta Cheese, cubed
  • 1 - 16 oz. sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • cumin to taste

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef with onions. 
  2. Drain if needed.
  3. Transfer meat to a large dutch oven or heavy pot.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until heated through.
  5. Serve with Fritos or your favorite tortilla chips.
